This class focuses on the traditional chest-and-arm harness (often referred to as the Takate-kote) and a simple but fast single limb tie. Combined, they make a number of beautiful and elegant partial suspensions. Those familiar with full suspensions will easily be able to incorporate these ties into their own work.
With a series of simple “a-ha” pointers and hands-on speed drills we show how to tie these as efficiently as possible, then learn how to “tip” the rope bottom off balance, putting them pleasantly at our disposal.
Tying quickly is not the same as rushing, in fact, they are opposites. When you learn to tie quickly, with precision and focus, your ties will be safer and your bottoms will be more receptive.
This is a hands-on, drill-based class for couples. The class is primarily aimed at couples who do not switch, but switching is perfectly OK. Bottoms should wear light but form-fitting clothing, or nothing at all. NO JEANS.
Those wishing to tie should bring 5 or more 25′-35′ lengths of 6mm (1/4″) natural fiber rope, or borrow ours. Please do not bring synthetic rope.
